Green Initiatives

The Earth is a precious resource and we are proud to be doing our part to try to preserve it. We have taken numerous steps to reduce our carbon emissions and prevent items that can be recycled from going into a landfill.

Terracycle Juice Pouch Brigade

We participate in Terracycle's Drink Pouch Brigade. We have teamed up with the pre-school at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Yorktown, Virginia to collect and recycle all of the drink pouches consumed by their students. This program has already helped turn thousands of drink pouches into useable items instead of going to a landfill. We are also planning on expanding our drink pouch brigade collections by partnering with other local pre-schools. Terracycle Energy Bar Brigade

We participate in Terracycle's Energy Bar Brigade. We have been collecting energy bar wrappers from our staff, their friends and families, and local sports groups and communities since 2007. We have already saved thousands of energy bar wrappers from going into landfills. We are always looking to expand our energy bar collection. If you, any of your friends or family members, school, or sports groups would like to contribute to our campaign, please contact us.

Other Green Initiatives

Besides the two formal programs above, we also reduce our carbon emissions through other various initiatives. Below are just some of the ways that we reduce our carbon footprint and do our part in the fight against global warming.

• Our hosting data center carbon emissions are offset 110%
• We use digital technologies to send and receive files whenever possible to reduce our paper use
• We use PDF files instead of printing out pages of documents
• We use email instead of faxing whenever possible
• We use recycled or natural paper
• We print out both sides of paper whenever possible
• We avoid doing mailings if possible and if we have to do one, we make sure it is targeted well and use recycled or natural paper if we can
• We use teleconferences and webinars to allow our clients, potential clients, staff and sub-contractors to attend at home or at the office and not have to drive into a location
• We allow our staff and sub-contractors to work from home offices whenever possible, eliminating the need for them to drive into a location
